The name Dr. Ali Irani is synonymous with Physiotherapy in India with decades of academic and clinical experience.
He is currently the Head of the Department for Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai. He is also the International Affairs Chairperson for the Indian Association of Physiotherapists as well as the Principal of NMIMS University. He is a celebrity physiotherapist and works with the Who’s Who of Bollywood & Reality Shows too.
Dr. Ali Irani has been a speaker at various national and international conferences on Physiotherapy and Wellness. He has conducted workshops on Innovative Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine at various physiotherapy and medical colleges.
Further, he is a recipient of the prestigious “HITRA ORATION” Award in 1994 for achievements made in the field of Physiotherapy.
He received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Association of Physiotherapy in 2004, fellowship by IAP & Indian Association of Sports Medicine (IASM).

Answer: Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to reorganize itself. In rehabilitation, we leverage this by introducing targeted exercises and activities to enhance neural connections, aiding in motor learning and recovery.

Answer: Misconceptions include thinking physiotherapy is only for post-injury recovery. I address these by emphasizing the preventive and holistic aspects of physiotherapy, promoting overall wellness.
